TSRSA isn’t just a membership—it’s where I’ve found real connections, fresh ideas, and tools that actually make a difference. If you’re in recruiting, this is where you level up.

Meet Some of Our Members:

In Memory of Jim Higgins

The Texas Search, Recruiting & Staffing Association (TSRSA) honors the life and legacy of Jim Higgins, who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 78.
Jim served as President of HAAPC (now TSRSA) and left an indelible mark on our association and the recruiting community. Known for his generosity, wisdom, and mentorship, Jim believed in sharing his knowledge to help others succeed.
From humble beginnings, Jim built a successful recruiting firm with just a phone, a phone book, and a dream — a business that continues today under the leadership of his son, Jimmy Higgins and co-owner Gayle Tapps. His professional accomplishments were matched by his deep love for his family, his friends, and his team.
From Tiffany Wallace, our current TSRSA President:

“When I was looking for a new recruiting system, Jim invited me to his office and had someone on his team show me the system they were successfully using — not many others would have offered to do that, but that’s who Jim was. He once gave me a cold-calling tip that I still use today: ‘I tell people they need to know me.’ When I asked if it worked, he said, ‘It only matters if I believe it.’ And he was right. Beyond his professional wisdom, I admired his love of family, his dedication to his team, and his openness in sharing. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.”

Outside of work, Jim was passionate about poker, fitness, genealogy, and spending time with his beloved granddaughter, Haley. His work ethic, positive energy, and giving spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
TSRSA is deeply grateful for Jim’s leadership and contributions to our association. He will be greatly missed, but his influence will continue to guide and inspire us.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
